Rory and Mal have continued their back-and-forth with Joe Budden and trolled their former podcast co-host by turning his words into merchandise.
The New Rory & Mal hosts debuted the “Bare Minimum Boys” t-shirts on Tuesday (April 11) playing off the Billionaire Boys Club model, which was sparked by Budden branding his former podcasting partners with the label because of their alleged lack of work ethic.

Rory, who was fired from the Joe Budden Podcast in 2021, took the gloves off for the latest New Rory & Mal episode where he exploded on Joe Budden.
“Outside of maybe two or three jokes since we put our response video out two years ago, I have not said a fucking word. Matter of fact, if anything I’ve been objective and complimentary in a lot of places. And if you look at that clip, I even said you deserved to be on that fucking list.
By the way, I’m talking to Joe [Budden]. I don’t do this who we may concern bullshit and subs. You’re fucking 45 — talk to people. Don’t bleep my name anymore on the podcast. Shut the fuck up!
“I told you the last time I saw you, ‘Leave me alone.’ And I have not said a fucking word. I’ve been nothing but kind, polite [and] anytime someone brings you up publicly, I don’t say bad words. Stop talking about it.”
The recent war of words was set ablaze after Rory and Mal dubbed Budden as “the thief” and a “cat burglar” as they sifted through Complex‘s top Hip Hop media personalities list, where JB came in at No. 1.
Budden didn’t waste any time in responding to his former running mates among others in the industry who took issue with him at the summit.
“To whom this may concern,” Budden said. “This is not even on page one of the manual, ’cause you n-ggas ain’t in the bookstore. Instead of critiquing people’s placement on this list, we need more critiquing on why you’re not on it. To everyone not on it, shut the fuck up. There’s some steps that you n-ggas have missed.
“To whom it may concern, stop holding a microphone. I’m just giving out podcast advice. It’s certain n-ggas, y’all can’t speak to me, y’all didn’t do the work yet. You didn’t go to the bookstore.”

Budden added: “Hire the editors. Get people to help. Invest in the staff. Pay the staff. Get more staff. Stop check chasing. Stop doing the bare minimum and expecting that to yield results. You n-ggas are the bare minimum boys.”
