Rod Wave has issued a response to Boosie Badazz after the latter threatened legal action against artists who have used his music without permission.
Wave prominently used the hook from Boosie’s “Long Journey” on his own song of the same name, and has now addressed the Baton Rouge rapper’s legal threat.

Boosie’s initial complaint came on Instagram Live this past weekend, where he implied that there were several artists he was looking to claim compensation from for either sampling or interpolating his music.
“Rod Wave ain’t the only one. Y’all better do y’all research. I done got paperwork on the way. Lot of people, it ain’t just Rod Wave,” he said.
“I love when they do that shit. They be giving my flowers. I be liking that shit when I hear it. It’s just, you gotta compensate me too. It’s a business.”
Boosie has since also called out Kodak Black for allegedly borrowing from his catalog without permission.

The pair butted heads earlier this year after Boosie called out Kodak for appearing on a song with 6ix9ine, to which Yak replied by calling him a clown.
