Rihanna has been tapped to hit the stage for a $6 million performance as part of the lavish wedding of the son of India’s wealthiest man.
According to the Daily Mail, Rih touched down in Jamnagar, India on Friday (March 1) where she’s gearing up to perform at the pre-wedding bash for the son of billionaire tycoon Mukesh Ambani, pocketing £5 million (about $6.3 million) for her set.

The three-day extravaganza, said to cost over $130 million, also boasts an impressive guest list including tech titans like Microsoft founder Bill Gates, Meta‘s Mark Zuckerberg, Disney chief Robert Iger, and a sprinkle of political power, sources tell the outlet.
In 2018, Ambani enlisted the help of Beyoncé to celebrate his daughter’s wedding during a private concert for guests, for which he also paid about $6 million.

Rihanna’s performance for the Ambani wedding will be her first since the Super Bowl LVII Halftime Show during the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles matchup at the State Farm Stadium in Arizona last year.
While fans have been patiently awaiting a new album from the Bajan superstar, they have been waiting almost as long for Rihanna to get back on the stage. Her last concert tour was back in 2016 for her ANTI album.

Fans may not have to wait too much longer for new music, however, as A$AP Rocky recently gave them a beacon of hope that the singer’s extended hiatus from music might be coming to an end.
On February 17, a fan page on X (formerly Twitter) shared a video that sees Rocky posing for a selfie with a fan in Paris. Towards the end, someone is heard asking him to tell his longtime partner that fans are ready for a new album, to which he replies, “She’s working on it.”
As of January, Anti now holds the distinction of being the first album by a Black female artist to spend 400 weeks (over seven years) on the Billboard 200 albums chart and the fourth longest charting album by a woman in the chart’s history.
In October, The Daily Mirror reported that the Fenty Beauty mogul was planning to return to music with the release of two new albums and a sprawling world tour slated to take place in 2024 and 2025.

However, just two days after the report surfaced, a “high-level source” debunked the rumors, telling Billboard the claims were “bogus,” and that “no tour has been confirmed for Rihanna.”
