Rick Ross looks like he’s getting the band back together, teasing that an MMG reunion with Wale could be on the cards for his upcoming joint project with Meek Mill.
On Thursday (October 26), Rozay and Meek Mill stopped by The Morning Hustle ahead of the arrival of Too Good To Be True — which is due out November 10 — where he hinted at reuniting the MMG family.

“Wale actually working on this project,” the Biggest Bawse revealed shortly after the one-minute mark. “He doing his thing. He over there Def Jam Records.”
When asked directly about Folarin popping up on the project, Rick Ross replied: “It’s a good chance. You know how we get down.”

Wale signed to MMG in early 2011 and the majority of his studio albums have been delivered via Rozay’s label. Folarin and Rick Ross most recently connected on Port of Miami 2‘s “Act A Fool” in 2019.
The D.C. native and Meek Mill have had a rocky relationship dating back to 2014 when Meek put Wale on blast for not tweeting about his album.

Wale then poked Meek in 2015 amid his war on wax with Drake. Folarin told The Breakfast Club that Mill brought a “pencil to a gunfight” and tried to “papercut him to death” which couldn’t do anything against Drizzy’s “Back to Back.”
Fast-forward to 2021, Wale pleaded the fifth trying to stay out of Meek and Ross’ former label issues and revealed he speaks regularly to both parties. “I talked to both of them n-ggas all the time,” Wale told Drink Champs. “I ain’t hear nothing like that. If I ain’t hear nothing like that, I can’t say.”
The MMG trio is set to reunite for the first time since Wale’s “Routine” in 2019.
Rick Ross and Meek Mill have delivered a pair of singles ahead of their new project, “Lyrical Eazy” and “Shaq & Kobe,” the latter of which received an NBA superstar remix from Damian Lillard and Shaquille O’Neal.
Timbaland has dubbed the project a “masterpiece” after getting an early listen to it. “Like, I’ma tell you right now, the Meek and [Rick] Ross album. That’s what we been missing,” Timbo said. “Ross giving you that Big Meech Ross. And that’s all we want, we don’t want Ross to sound like Uzi Vert. We don’t hear him on those tracks. We want to hear Ross today. We want to hear that.

“When I hear their album and it’s a masterpiece, just be good at what you good at. Be great at what you great at. Don’t change for nobody. That album says a lot to me because Meek is being Meek whether you like it or not.”
