“She’s from Wisconsin, her and her husband thought I was Rick Ross so I played the part LMMFAO,” Gates captioned his video, in which he did Rozay’s signature grunt while posing with the unsuspecting woman.
Gates posted a follow-up clip on TikTok showing him reuniting with the woman at breakfast, suggesting they’d struck up an unlikely friendship over the misunderstanding.

“I’m with Hannah. She just spotted me, Rick Ross,” he joked in the video. “Huh! Can you say that for the camera? She just thought she seen Rick Ross so I wanted to give her a little picture and everything. Shoutout Hannah and her husband.”
“I’m here with one of my groupies in the white,” Gates added while hitting Rozay’s grunt. “Aye, Hannah’s great peoples. There goes the wifey right there. When you wake up in the morning and realize that wasn’t Rick Ross.”

As for the real Rick Ross, the Port of Miami rapper has set a lofty goal for himself in 2024 by planning to climb to the top of Mt. Kilimanjaro, one of the tallest mountains in the world.
In a video posted to social media last week, Rozay could be seen working up a sweat with his trainer in an effort to get into the “best shape” of his life ahead of the expedition.
“I mentioned on the podcast last year we was climbing to the top of Mount Kilimanjaro,” he said while jogging. “It’s official: early 2024, it’s going down.
“[We’re getting in the] best shape of our lives [for this]. Promise I won’t fall out on you muthafuckas. Promise. And guess what? I swear Imma wear my watch and if I pull that pin on it, in one hour that helicopter will be there for us.”
