Quavo Catches Stray From Ray J As He Seemingly Sides With Chris Brown In Beef

Quavo has received an unexpected stray from Ray J as the crooner diminished the Migos member’s rivalry with Chris Brown.

On an episode of Shannon Sharpe‘s Club Shay Shay that aired on Wednesday (June 5), the “One Wish” singer was asked about the beef between Quavo and Breezy.

“That’s not beef,” he says around the 1:06:45 mark. “Quavo and Chris Brown, Kendrick and Drake. You got Chris Brown, you got Drake and you got Kendrick Lamar. And no disrespect to Quavo,” he said, before adding how much Drake has done for his career thanks to sampling “One Wish” on Views.

After diminishing Quavo’s beefing skills, he returned to the battle between K.Dot and Drizzy and concluded: “That’s what I think a Hip Hop beef should be.”

The drama began brewing between Chris Brown and Huncho when the former called out the “Turn Yo Clic Up” rapper for allegedly dating his ex-girlfriend Karrueche Tran.

Breezy’s shots came courtesy of “Freak,” a collaboration with Lil Wayne, Joyner Lucas and Tee Grizzley that appeared on his new 11:11 deluxe album.

“Okay, now fuckin’ my old bitches ain’t gon’ make us equal/ Sippin’ that 1942 ’cause I don’t do no Cuervo (Quavo)/ Freak bitch, she like Casamigos, not the Migos,” he raps on the song, which samples Nelly‘s 2002 hit “Air Force Ones.”

Issues between the two date back to 2017 when Chris Brown allegedly got into a brawl with Migos at a BET Awards afterparty.

Things took an interesting twist when Quavo appeared to begin dating Brown’s former girlfriend Tran, who had previously taken out a restraining order against the controversial singer.

The simmering tension boiled over again earlier this year when Quavo and Breezy were awkwardly sat next to each other during a Paris Fashion Week event.

While the two appeared cordial, Brown later dissed the “Hotel Lobby” rapper on social media.

“Can’t pick who you sit by,” he wrote in an Instagram comment. “Fuck all that growth shit. N-gga not finna fumble my bag for little n-ggas.”

A day after “Freak arrived,” Quavo responded to Brown’s dig at him by taunting the singer over his rumored fling with his ex-girlfriend Karrueche Tran.

On his track “Tender,” the former Migos rapper hits back at Breezy by referencing his history of domestic violence and drug use.

“You did the bitch wrong and now the bitch gone, she posted with a thug/ Call the bitch phone, she won’t come home, don’t beat her up/ It must be the drugs, need to cross out your plug,” he raps.

Quavo then seemingly confirms that his and Tran’s relationship, spitting: “Tell me, lil’ bro, what’s your issue? It’s over a thot/ You said that it’s bigger than that but no, it is not/ It’s ’cause I be diggin’ in that, it got ’em hot/ I’m givin’ respect but I know you not/ Your bitch on my neck, your bitch at the spot.”

Later in April, the “Forever” singer took his disdain for Quavo to a whole different level with the release of a another diss track, on which he took some deeply personal shots at his adversary.

The Virginia native released “Weakest Link” online, packaged with an image of the Migos superstar eating a hot dog as its cover.

On the track, Breezy addressed his rival having a fling with his ex-girlfriend and in turn claims to have slept with Saweetie while she was still in a relationship with the 33-year-old: “You fucked my ex-ho, that’s cool, I don’t give no fuck, lil n-gga/ ‘Cause I fucked yo’ ex when you were still with her, bitch, I’m up, lil n-gga.”

He then turned the heat all the way up by namedropping the Southern rapper’s former groupmate Takeoff, who was tragically shot and killed at the age of 28 two years ago.

“R.I.P. Takeoff, he the only real one, I got true respect/ Crazy how when he died, everybody really wished it was you instead,” he spat on the scathing cut.
