Quavo has released an epic trailer to promote his upcoming new album, Rocket Power — and it includes a dig at his former Migos groupmate Offset.
In the promotional clip, Huncho can be seen standing in a destitute area as he watches a space rocket prepare for launch — which is both a nod to his upcoming album, and his late nephew and Migos gorupmate TakeOff, who was shot and killed in Houston in 2022.

While donning diamond chains and a long-sleeve shirt with TakeOff‘s face on it, Quavo hops into his melodic bag and spit a few opening bars before directly addressing Offset’s previous claims of them not being blood cousins.
“Living like a rockstar, but we miss one/ My cousin jumped out the car I had to keep goin’/ Now he tellin’ the whole world that we ain’t blood/ N-gga it’s all love, yeah it’s all love/ I guess we gotta be togetha in this small world/ N-gga it’s all love, yeah it’s all love/ Rocket Power imma up dis shit, let’s keep it goin’,” Quavo spits in the riveting clip.
After teasing Rocket Power for months, the long-awaited album will finally be released on August 4. Check out the trailer below.
Quavo’s shot at his former groupmate comes after it was revealed in May that Offset is not actually related to Quavo or TakeOff, despite many fans believing it so since the group’s inception.
The Atlanta rhymer sat down for an in-depth cover story for Variety, and while he didn’t discuss Migos much due to his ongoing legal battle with Quality Control, a small note about his lack of biological relation to the group left fans’ heads spinning.

“He was classmates with Quavo — the third member of Migos — and began hanging out with him and TakeOff when Offset was in the sixth grade,” the article reads. “While Quavo was TakeOff’s uncle, the two were just three years apart in age, and although Offset is often referred to as Quavo’s cousin, they are actually not biologically related.”
However, in recent weeks both Quavo and Offset have worked immensely to bury their issues for the sake of TakeOff. The Atlanta rap artists reunited last month to honor TakeOff at this year’s BET Awards. Afterwards, Offset declared Migos “the greatest group to ever touch the mic.”

“The BET performance was iconic man,” a noticeably happy Set said at the time. “It cleared my soul. Me and my brother Qua, we put that together within 16 hours. Like 15 hours. We land from Paris like at 9pm and go straight to work to figure out how we gon’ put the show together man.”
“We do that because we some real stars. We do that. We do this music. We the greatest group to ever touch the mic. RIP my brother Take. We did it for my brother Take.”
He continued: “Me and Qua stood tall, brother to brother. You dig what I’m saying? And I appreciate everybody for supporting, man. It was a movie, it was a vibe. We needed that for the culture. And yeah, that’s how we coming! We did that in 16 hours though! Like real professionals. Real professionals. Went out there, 16 hours, didn’t sleep, locked in on the visual. Me and Qua sat down, locked in on the visuals, locked in on the position of the stage, the lighting, everything as a unit.
“And you know, when you put the three heads together, it’s always gon’ be cinematic. It’s always gon’ be the truth. It’s always gon’ be Godly. Thank God for that moment. And like I said, RIP to Take. Y’all know how we coming about my brother. And we did it for Take. And we still don’t take. That’s our legacy. Migos forever. The greatest group to ever do it.”

Quavo and Offset previously came back together for a candlelight vigil during that same month for TakeOff’s 29th birthday. Those closest to Take rocked jeans with a white t-shirt honoring him.
At the time, this marked Quavo and Offset’s first outing together since their feud began last year as Huncho and TakeOff formed the Unc & Phew duo while Offset focused on his solo career, signaling a Migos break-up.
