Quando Rondo has celebrated the eight-month anniversary of his sobriety after previously struggling with drug addiction.
Taking to Instagram on Wednesday (June 19), the Savannah rapper detailed his journey to getting clean and the effect it’s had on his life.

“I been sober 8 months straight !!!” he wrote. “But these 3 other than flash i know believe in me frfr ! Budda squeal & big brah wac RIP !! I been high as hell this night i came along way boy thats the only thing i appreciate about this life i finally love being sober !
“I USED TO TAKE SO MANY DRUGS TBLACC & PLUTO THEM USED TO SAY IM TRIPPING BUT IM SURPRISED I DIDNT OD THATS JUST MEAN THAT IM HERE 4 A REASON !”
Earlier this year, Quando Rondo was arrested for driving under the influence in relation to a car crash he was involved in last year.
Rondo — whose real name is Tyquian Bowman — was reportedly seen speeding before crashing into another car. He was also allegedly showing signs of an overdose, for which medical professionals at the scene administered Narcan to the rapper.

At the time of the crash, Quando Rondo was already on bond for drug and gang charges.
Prior to this latest arrest, the rapper was already facing up to 20 years in prison after he was arrested in December for conspiring with others to possess and distribute drugs including methamphetamine, fentanyl, cocaine and marijuana.
Quando Rondo was charged on 14 counts in total, including possession of a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime, possession of a firearm by a prohibited person and conspiracy to interfere with commerce by robbery.
The “ABG” rapper was previously arrested in June 2023 and charged with two counts of conspiracy to violate Georgia’s controlled substances law, one count of participating in criminal activity affiliated with a street gang, and one count of illegal use of a cell phone to facilitate a drug deal.

Most controversially, Quando Rondo was involved in the altercation with King Von that resulted in the rapper’s death.
Rondo and Von’s respective crews got into a fight in Atlanta with Von shot and killed during the melee, with Rondo since stating his side were acting in self-defense.
