Quality Control Music co-founder Pierre “P” Thomas has responded to allegations that he once snitched to the Atlanta Police Department, and said people should “stop glorifying dumb shit.”
P’s response came after alleged paperwork from May 2010 appeared to show the rap mogul cooperated with local police and answering questions about a shooting that killed his friend. With critics accusing the QC CEO of snitching, he took it upon himself to respond to the accusations.

He added: “I don’t got no love for no n-ggas that try to kill me or mine. I ain’t in the streets never wanted to be I played the hand I was dealt and made something out of it, y’all bum ass n-ggas should do the same. Stop glorifying dumb shit.

The accusations come as Quality Control Music continues to take itself to the next level. Earlier this year, it was reported the powerhouse Atlanta label had been acquired by Scooter Braun’s HYBE America in a deal worth $320 million, which P referenced in his aforementioned response.
The acquisition of Quality Control — home to some of the biggest names in Hip Hop including Lil Baby, Migos, Lil Yachty and City Girls — marked Braun’s first major move since becoming sole CEO of HYBE America earlier this year.

P said in a statement that the partnership will take Quality Control worldwide.
“HYBE are perfect partners for Quality Control as we come together to take our story and work global,” he said. “All of HYBE’s leaders are entrepreneurs with phenomenal combined history finding talent and taking it to the highest levels.
“Taking QC worldwide requires key partners like this who understand building something from the bottom and aiming sky high. It matters to us greatly their grasp of culture and acutely seeing what QC has built and the limitless path of where it can go.”
In 2021, Deadline also reported that Quality Control’s film and TV department had signed a partnership with Critical Content, the production studio behind Catfish and Celebrity Game Face. The deal will join the two companies together so that they can develop unscripted TV series for various artists on QC’s roster.

The multi-platinum label is also heading into the movie space with Quality Films. The studio is hard at work on a number of feature-length films, including an action thriller called Takeover starring Quavo.
The Migos rapper will play “a recent parolee who’s attempting to rehabilitate his life when circumstances propel him back into Atlanta’s thriving and dangerous takeover scene.”
