Polo G has reacted to receiving ‘Donkey of the Day’ last week from The Breakfast Club‘s Charlamagne Tha God for claiming to be the only rapper riding around without security these days.
TMZ caught up with Polo while shopping on Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills on Wednesday (May 31) where he lent his approval of receiving the Donkey title because Charlamagne was actually looking out for his safety.

“I usually pop out with security sometimes I was just bullshitting,” he admitted. “I’m usually good though. Rodeo — this a nice place especially compared to where I come from. I’ma be good though, for sure.”
He added of receiving ‘Donkey of the Day’ from CTG: “I fuck with it. It was just showing some type of concern. I ain’t tripping.”
Charlamagne expanded on slapping Polo G with the DOTD crown and reacted to the Chicago native’s response to TMZ on Thursday morning (June 1).
“TMZ, I was not roasting Polo G. I gave that brother a word and that word is simply don’t test the streets,” Charlamagne explained. “As I said in Donkey of the Day, the only reason that disappointed me so much is because Polo G is one of the smart ones. I expect the idiots to be idiots, but I expect more from Polo G.
“Not just because Polo G is a smart young man, his momma do not play. Drop one of Clue’s bombs for Stacia Mac. Nah, he was trolling. Stacia is one of those people who inspires me the way she handles her business.”
He continued: “After that Donkey, Stacia let me know she don’t play that and she spoke to Polo about that video … That’s the moral of the story. Invest in yourself by protecting yourself, because you are your greatest asset.”
Polo G has lost plenty of friends to street violence in his life and eerily he was in the studio with Pop Smoke the night he was shot and killed by an 18-year-old as part of an armed robbery in Hollywood Hills back in February 2020.

On the music side, Polo’s long-awaited album produced by Southside is on the way and he revealed it will finally arrive this summer. “I’m finna drop that bitch soon,” the 24-year-old said. “Turn the streets up. Soon — this summer, top of the summer.”
