“It’s an honor for me to co-host this very special event with Anna, Mr Arnault, and Brian the night before the momentous Opening Ceremony,” the Grammy Award-winning producer said in a statement. “The Olympics are a celebration of diversity, humanity, and creativity – all of which bring us closer together as one human race.
“The Olympics are a humbling reminder that there is so much more that unites us than divides us. There is so much beauty in sport, and we will be celebrating this joyous time in a very special way.”

Beyond a typical party — complete with Moët Hennessy-curated signature cocktails and light bites prepared by Michelin Star chef Jean Imbert — the event will also give attendees a shot at participating in Olympic-inspired games including archery, basketball and table tennis.
As Louis Vuitton’s men’s creative director, Pharrell’s recent work has fully embraced the Olympic spirit. His menswear show at Paris Fashion Week last month incorporated a global theme, drawing from international cultural elements.

The move also aligns with Louis Vuitton’s overall involvement with the Summer Olympics. The company has designed the uniforms for the volunteers who will be tasked with presenting medals to the winning athletes. The medal themselves will also be brought out on special Louis Vuitton trays.
Pharrell’s recent pushes in the world of luxury also include the new Tiffany Titan collection, his first jewelry collection which he unveiled with Tiffany & co. in June. The line includes necklaces, earrings, bracelets and rings made with diamonds in 18-karat yellow gold or titanium.

But that doesn’t mean the Virginia-native is done with producing music.
Pusha T and No Malice have corroborated the rumors about a new Clipse project, revealing that it is produced entirely by longtime collaborator Pharrell.

In an interview with Vulture published on June 19, the siblings went into detail about what will be their first album since 2009’s Til the Casket Drops.
Without revealing any of the features, Push said: “Pharrell producing everything is also an ode to the type of music and the type of albums we want to make. We still want to make full bodies of work. These are movies, man. These aren’t just songs. This isn’t just a collection of joints we went in and banged out.”
He added: “This is arguing. This is a problem. These are people passionate about their opinions and making sure that everybody’s on their A-game. Listen, I can be mad at the engineer, you know what I’m saying? Even he has to be on point. I think that’s the level of meticulousness that a Clipse fan looks for.”
The pair also shared that they did not work with the other half of the Neptunes production team, Chad Hugo, who has been embroiled in a legal battle with his peer from Virginia over trademark ownership.
