As Offset continues to mourn the death of TakeOff, the Migos rapper has introduced a new tradition at his live shows to keep his groupmate and cousin’s name alive.

As seen in a clip posted on his Instagram page on Sunday (December 11), Offset plans to kickstarts his concerts with a massive tribute to TakeOff, who was shot and killed in Houston, Texas in November.

The remembrance includes a photo of the Last Rocket rapper being projected onto the on-stage screen as The Jackson 5’s “Never Can Say Goodbye” plays throughout the venue’s speakers.

“Before every show I love you bra,” Offset captioned footage of the tribute, which was taken at a recent show. Rich The Kid, Ty Dolla $ign, Busta Rhymes, Tony Yayo and Tyrese were among those who commended the gesture in his comments section.

“Love king !!!!” Ty wrote, while Rich commented: “I love you bro this beautiful.” Tyrese added: “Praying for you bro everyday…. So sorry this all happened I’m so sorry.”

Offset took the stage for the first time since TakeOff’s passing earlier this month. Accompanied by his wife Cardi B, the “Clout” rapper hit the stage at E11EVEN in Miami, Florida, telling the audience: “We’re doing this for my brother, for TakeOff … let’s do this shit!”

The performance followed the touching Instagram post Offset wrote in November, in which he expressed his grief over TakeOff’s tragic loss.

“Dear Take, doesn’t feel real posting you like this….This still doesn’t feel like reality. I’ve been searching for the right words to say, but there aren’t any that will suffice. Until we meet again, Rest In Power. I love you,” he captioned the post.

He added: “I wish I could hug you one last time. Laugh one last time. Smoke one last time. Perform one last time. I know someone with a soul like yours is in heaven now.”

TakeOff’s November 1 murder has resulted in a pair of arrests, but new details continue to emerge from that fateful night.

According to an affidavit viewed by New York Times reporter Joe Coscarelli, Quavo was involved in a lucrative dice game outside Houston’s 810 Billiards and Bowling Alley when he got into an argument after losing money to two individuals.

A Harris County Medical Examiner said in TakeOff’s autopsy report that the Migos member died of “penetrating gunshot wounds of head and torso into arm.”

The 28-year-old was laid to rest with a celebration of life ceremony at State Farm Arena in Atlanta on November 12 in front of 21,000 mourners.
