Offset still has a bone to pick with Quality Control Music over allegations of wrongful interference with most of his unreleased music.
According to a report from RadarOnline, the Atlanta rapper claims his former label Quality Control is trying to take full credit as the owner of his upcoming solo projects even though he paid a large amount of money to be released from his contract.

In the newly filed court documents, the former Migos member is accusing QC of trying to sabotage his career. The news of these accusations arrives after Offset sued the label last year for attempting to own his music.
The two parties worked with each other for over a decade up until 2021, when Offset found out the terms of his deal and wanted to regain full control of his music outside of Migos. A settlement was met between Offest and QC where he paid a hefty price to reclaim the rights to his music.

After the negotiation, the Atlanta native released a single titled “54321” and continued to accuse the label of trying to claim ownership even when they settled on a deal. Offset’s lawsuit stated: “Offset now brings this action to vindicate his rights and make it clear to the world that Offset, not Quality Control, owns Offset’s music.”
In retaliation, Quality Control demanded the suit be thrown out, claiming there was an agreement with Capitol Records that required them to assign all of Capitol’s rights in sound recordings obtained by Quality Control’s “Accepted Artist” that it had furnished to Capitol back to Quality Control.

However, Offset’s lawyer refuted the alleged agreement with Capitol stating: “Quality Control no longer owns the copyright to Offset’s solo sound recordings and is no longer licensing Offset’s solo sound recordings to Capitol, and Capitol has acquired ownership of Offset’s solo sound recordings directly from Offset.”
His lawyer continued: “Wrongful interference with the upcoming release of Offset’s new music and continued instance of being credited as the owner of Offset’s new solo sound recordings is groundless and unjustified.”
Offset also demanded Quality Control’s countersuit against him for breach of contract be dismissed while his lawsuit is moved forward.
Offset’s accusations arrive after the rapper told his fans earlier this month that he’s back in album mode after delaying his upcoming solo project following the tragic death of TakeOff.

The Atlanta native took to his Instagram Story to let fans know he’s back in the lab working on his forthcoming LP. “ALBUM MODE,” he captioned the post.
