In a statement shared with News 4 Jax, his attorney Lewis Fusco said that the “God Don’t Know” spitter had hosted a birthday party at an Airbnb in Tampa in late June that was shut down due to the number of people in attendance.
Hours before his death, he took to his Instagram Stories and told followers that the party had been cut short by police officers, who also “kicked them out” of the rental property.
According to Fusco, he got a room at a nearby Holiday Inn soon after, which is where he was killed. Tampa NBC affiliate WFLA reported that local police confirmed that the killing took place in a parking lot located on the corner of Fowler Avenue and McKinley Drive.
