Nicki Minaj took the occasion of Foxy Brown‘s birthday to recall her very first meeting with the Brooklyn icon, who Minaj has long proclaimed her biggest influence.

Foxy turned 46 on Friday (September 6), and Minaj marked the occasion in numerous ways: by having her DJ warm up her show’s crowd in Pittsburgh by playing some of Brown’s music; by encouraging her fans to wish “King Fox” happy birthday on social media; and by thinking back to the first time the two stars met.

“First time I met her on the come up dvd i couldn’t stop complimenting her,” she wrote. “Looked better in person. Soft ass beautiful skin. From hair to toe. Every feature on that face did what needed to be done!!! the PRETTIEST!!! And there’s no runner up!!!”
