“Nicki Minaj said she wanted me on her tour and she told so many people,” Williams told the audience. “A million people hit my phone at the same time. It scared me and Jesus. He shut all of AT&T down.”
The Young Money rapper reposted the clip on her Instagram Stories on Tuesday (March 5) along with the caption: “Texting him right tf now.”
Nicki Minaj called for Katt Williams to join her on tour during an Instagram Live broadcast last month, shortly before it was due to begin.
“I know that this is the busiest man in show business,” she said, referencing his recent viral appearance on Shannon Sharpe’s podcast that has led to more interviews and bookings.

“I know that he’s rich, and I know that he’s the funniest man in showbiz. Can y’all hit up Katt Williams and ask him what would be his price…to be a part of the Pink Friday 2 Gag City Tour?”
Viewers were skeptical about the nature of Nicki’s interest in the comic, though, with one person suggesting there might be an ulterior motive behind her request.

“This is giving very much ‘we ain’t sellin out these dates fast enough’” they commented.
That sentiment was echoed by The Breakfast Club co-host Jess Hilarious, who questioned during an outtake of the morning radio show: “When the fuck did Nicki and Katt Williams even have a fucking relationship? To put him on your tour?
“Usually, people do things like this when the tour is not selling. Maybe it isn’t. Now, that’s very expected these days because of the economy.”
She continued: “People put shit on layaway to buy [Beyoncé‘s] Renaissance tickets. The economy is in such a shit place right now, it’s totally expected to not sell out your fucking tour.”
