Nick Cannon and Mariah Carey’s son Moroccan has officially made his rap debut with a live performance at his mom’s Christmas concert.
Amid Mariah’s rendition of “Here Comes Santa Claus” at her show at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles on November 17, Moroccan briefly hit the stage to deliver some bars on the classic holiday cut.

Jermaine Dupri helped hype the 12-year-old, who seemed slightly nervous but still commanded the stage as one would expect from the offspring of one of the most legendary singers in the world.

While her son may be allowed to hit the stage, Nick Cannon revealed earlier this year that Mariah Carey is a bit more reserved when it comes to posting their children on social media.
“I love it, but Mariah is more of a private person, which I understand,” Nick said on The Jason Lee Podcast in May. He noted revealed that Moroccan likes to go on Twitch from time to time, but that he knows how to set firm boundaries when need be. “So it’s a balance, it’s alignment. I let them run. They make TikTok videos with me and do all this stuff. And they do it with Mariah too, but I let them have a little bit more freedom, especially stepping into the place of being almost teenagers.”
Cannon also revealed that Carey has some boundaries in place when it comes to his gaggle of babies. “She’s high frequency. She’s like, ‘You alright? How you doing? You handling it all?’ And she’s like, ‘As long as you don’t bring that bullshit to the manor of Carey.’ She lives in her own world. Nothing can infiltrate that. When we talk daily, she just checks in on my spirit,” he said.
Nick Cannon and Mariah Carey were married from 2008 to 2016. But back in 2022, during a chat with The Hot Tee Talk Show, Cannon participated in a segment called “Spin The Block” and was asked if he’d “spin the block” for Mariah Carey.

Without hesitation, Cannon replied, “Of course. That’s my fantasy. That’s somebody I will always love. I will never have a love like I had with Mariah. If I had the opportunity … if it could be the way that it was? Pfft. I’m there.” He then added a reference to Carey’s 1995 single, “Always be my baby” before concluding, “We belong together.”
