Mozzy has thanked Killer Mike for the motivation to keep pushing forward in life no matter the situation.
The Sacramento native and Run The Jewels rapper linked up recently and shared kind words for one another on the heels of Mozzy’s standout appearance on the poignant “SHED TEARS” off Mike’s Michael album.

“Welcome home,” Mike said to Mozzy who was arrested shortly after a shooting involving someone from his crew in Kansas.
Mozzy then gave Killer Mike his flowers, saying: “Congratulations and much continued success. I’m excited to get back to work and be with my people. I appreciate you for the alley-oop. You know I be struggling it’s a fight every day to keep going or transition into something else.”

He continued: “But to just see how they embracing you and that Grammy is just a refreshing motivation like to keep going. Stay stubborn about it.”

Mozzy is up for his first Grammy Award thanks to his verse on Michael,which will compete for Best Rap Album honors in February.
Upon learning of his nomination in early November, Killer Mike took to social media to preamptively thank some of the people who contributed to this album.
“To my Mother, Denise, and Grandparents: I know y’all are with our ancestors, talking to the Lord and lobbying for me!” Mike wrote in the celebratory post. “Miss Bettie, you and Willie Burke are gonna be proud. I promise. Denise aka Mommy, thank you for allowing and encouraging my love of art and music. You especially encouraged my love of Hip Hop. Lord willing, I’m gonna bring home some trophies as a tribute to y’all, baby!”
Killer Mike went on to list “all the creatives and professionals who have worked tirelessly to make this moment a reality,” before signing off: “I am humbled, honored, and grateful. #NiecysBoy #MissBettiesBabyBoy #MICHAEL.”

As for Mozzy, the CMG rapper was released from jail in May after serving 10 months behind bars in a federal gun case.
The conviction stemmed from an incident last January when officers pulled him over in Culver City, California on a traffic stop.
