“17 and half years old you been with me & And anyone know us it’s always been me & you,” she began. “Who would think that a pet would turn into a family member. If I left the house for 5 minutes and came back you would make me feel like I had been gone for years the way you would run to me. I will miss you sooo much.”
She continued: “I’m trying to hold up but you will no longer suffer & I know poncho been waiting for you at the rainbow bridge and you are in good hands with him & in Gods arms. I love you forever Hoodie Rest Peacefully.”

Earlier this month, Missy Elliott made history as the first female rapper to be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, with fellow Hip Hop pioneer Queen Latifah doing the honors.
In her speech, Missy paid tribute to other female rappers, including Pepa of Salt-N-Pepa, MC Lyte, Roxanne Shante, Monie Love, and of course Latifah as well.

And days later, the “Work It” creator was moved to tears when Busta Rhymes paid homage to the legendary feat.
“This is an appreciation post, a congratulatory post and an incredible acknowledgment and I think is absolutely necessary to be made right now,” Busta began in an Instagram post. “I had to make the time to really big up my sister Missy Misdemeanor Elliott.
“You are brilliant, you are an icon, you are a source of one of my greatest inspirations. It’s beautiful that you have pulled from me as a source for great inspiration as well. We pull from each other so much that’s why we call each other twin. There ain’t enough words that could truly describe how proud of you I am. How happy for you I am.”

He continued to give Missy her flowers by saying: “A feeling that is really cutting in a different kind of way deeply into my soul because I know how hard you worked for this moment to be inducted not only in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, but to be the first female MC in the culture of Hip Hop since the inception of the culture on the 50th birthday of Hip Hop.
“One of the most incredible representations of the culture in the most forward-thinking way. In the most innovative way… I just think it’s important that everybody take a second to realize how incredible this is.”
Missy Elliott said she was moved to tears by Busta Rhymes’ words as she reposted the heartwarming clip on her own Instagram page.
“@bustarhymes this post brought tears to my eyes the fact that you even took the time out of your schedule to do this I am honoured,” she wrote.
“I’ve learned so much from you visually & musically and knowledge I remember my first album I asked you to be on it I was so scared you would say Nah ma you not hot enough but you said YES & you have always supported & protected me since that day!
