Michel’le has given fans an update on her health after a recent performance left them concerned for her well-being.

The former Death Row singer took to Instagram on Tuesday (August 29) to put her supporters’ minds at ease after a video circulated of her wobbling on stage during a recent show and struggling to make it through her songs.

Fans alleged the singer was “high” and “drunk,” but in her response, Michel’le denied that anything was wrong.

“I wanna thank everyone who was concerned, or have inquired about my well being,” she wrote. “I am FINE and looking forward to my next show. Blessings & love to you all. #Inevergiveup #yallknowimafighter.”

Michel’le has admittedly struggled with substance abuse problems in the past. During her abusive and contentious relationship with Dr. Dre, Death Row’s leader Suge Knight reportedly stepped in at one point to send her to rehab, shortly before the pair began a brief relationship and short-lived marriage.

Michel’le’s issues with Dre were ongoing throughout their relationship. They worked together on the World Class Wreckin Cru’s 1987 cut “Turn Off the Lights” before their son was born in 1991, with alleged physical abuse trailing their relationship the entire time.

Things got so bad, Michel’le allegedly had to have her nose surgically corrected at one point as a result of Dre’s violence.

Dr. Dre has been accused of assaulting numerous women over the years. In 1991, he brutally attacked former Pump It Up! host Dee Barnes at a Hollywood industry party, which resulted in a lawsuit. In the 2017 HBO documentary The Defiant Ones, Dre admitted he was “out of his fucking mind” when he assaulted her and offered a public apology.

“Any man that puts his hands on a female is a fucking idiot,” Dre said in the clip. “He’s out of his fucking mind and I was out of my fucking mind at the time. I fucked up. I paid for it. I’m sorry for it. I apologize for it. I had this dark cloud that follows me and it’s going to be attached to me forever. It’s a major blemish on who I am as a man.”

Domestic abuse allegations have unfortunately followed Dre to this day. Back in 2020, his wife Nicole Young filed for what ended up being a long and ugly divorce after 24 years of marriage, alleging the super-producer was physically, verbally and mentally abusive towards her for the majority of their relationship.
