Metro Boomin has been working non-stop, and it looks like his run may continue with a possible third installment of his Savage Mode series with 21 Savage.
In a post to X (formerly Twitter) on Thursday (June 6), Metro previewed a new beat from the studio, which a fan pointed out sounded like it could live on Savage Mode III.

Responding to the fan, Metro simply wrote eyeball emojis – which while it doesn’t confirm the possibility that a new project with 21 Savage is on the way, certainly doesn’t deny it.

21 Savage released the first Savage Mode in 2016. The nine-track project, billed as an EP, featured production from Metro Boomin as well Southside, Sonny Digital, Zaytoven, G Koop and Cubeatz and a sole guest feature from Future.
Four years later, 21 linked with Metro for the entirety of Savage Mode II, resulting in a No. 1 debut on the Billboard 200. The project featured appearances from from Young Thug, Young Nudy and Drake – the latter of which likely won’t be appearing on the potential third installment, given his static with Metro.

21 Savage, who shares a close relationship with both Drake and Metro Boomin, recently spoke on the pair’s high-profile beef and refused to pick a side.
“Bruh, aye, don’t be coming on my muthafuckin’ Live talking about no muthafuckin’ beef,” he told his followers on Instagram Live after being flooded with comments about the feud. “Metro my brother and Drake my brother. They gon’ figure that shit out eventually.”

The 6 God and super producer have been engaged in a back-and-forth since March when the latter released We Don’t Trust You with Future.
Despite the trio’s previous collaborations, the album contained several shots at Drake, most notably from Kendrick Lamar on “Like That.”

After the Toronto native returned fire on the aforementioned “Push Ups” and “Family Matters,” in addition to numerous social media taunts, Metro ramped things up by launching the “BBL Drizzy” contest.
In an attempt to reclaim the diss-trumental, Drake recently rapped over the beat on a collaboration with Sexyy Red called “U My Everything.”

Just last week, 21 Savage used Drake’s diss against Metro after the producer mocked him over his ties to the Canadian rapper and his OVO team.
While 21 was on Instagram Live, Metro jokingly called him “OVO Savage” in the comments section.
He also joked: “I JUS KNOW U GOT A OWL TRAMP STAMP,” referring to the owl logo of Drake’s OVO brand.
After catching wind of the comments, 21 said: “Oh, you was talking shit, bitch? Get off my Live […] I’m finna block this n-gga.”

He then yelled out: “Metro, shut your ho ass up and make some drums, n-gga,” quoting Drake’s line from “Push Ups.”
