Method Man‘s daughter Chey recently launched a rap career of her own and she just got the ultimate co-sign from Trina.
In an Instagram post shared on Sunday (March 17), the New York native shared a carousel of photos and videos from a Detroit concert, during which the Florida MC brought her out as a special guest.
“I always like to show love to people,” the 45-year-old said as she invited Meth’s daughter to join her while calling her “an inspiration.”

In another social media clip, the Diamond Princess shared some words with the newcomer, who upon walking away expressed her immense excitement by exclaiming: “Trina likes my song, bitch!”
In her caption, she added: “We told y’all I was taking over right? Trinaaaa [four heart-gesture emojis] @trinarockstarr thank you so much for having me!! I appreciate you and respect you so much for everything you do for upcoming artists!!! I PERFORMED FOR A SOLD OUT SHOW IN DETROIT!!!!!!! I still can’t believe it. I’m so grateful.”
Chey dropped the drill-inspired “Hair and Nails” in January and has since followed it up with another song and accompanying video titled “Boujee & Ghetto.”
Although she may be one of the Wu-Tang Clan rapper’s three children, she is adamant about putting in the work and not relying on her dad to give her a boost.
“A lot of people would say [that he could just make a call and put me on], but at the end of the day, you gotta put in the work,” she said in an interview with Shaoliiin Entertainment earlier this year. “He could do that but he rather see me work for it and really push but he’s gonna support one thousand gajillion trillion percent. But he wants to see the work too.”
As for Trina, she made headlines late last year for dubbing Beyoncé the “No. 1 female rapper” during a conversation with HipHopDX.

“Because she is the No. 1 female rapper when she does rap,” she stated. “There’s no sleeping on the Queen. It’s just one of those things, of course, it’s the Queen Beyoncé, but when you hearing a song and it’s rapping involved it’s like, oh my God — it’s more inspiration.”
The comment sparked quite a bit the debate on social media, with a number of fans questioning the reasoning behind said take. As the chatter began bubbling, the Diamond Princess doubled down while taking the comments in stride.

Soon after, the “Don’t Trip” rapper responded to the backlash on social media and reiterated her stance by writing: “For the dusty crusty funky bitches in the bacccckkkk. Beyoncé is the queen of rap (when she raps) and ALL other genres of music. Now stay mad goofy’s I said what I said and NAAN bitch gone check me [middle finger emoji] carry on!”
