Megan Thee Stallion has announced that her second act is coming very soon — in a week, in fact — as she announced details for her upcoming mixtape Act II.
On Friday (October 18) the Houston Hottie shared not only a release date for the project, which she began teasing earlier this fall, but the Pen & Pixel-esque cover art as well.

“MEGAN: ACT II. OCTOBER 25,” she wrote in a message on X, along with a pre-save link. The message was accompanied by a butterfly emoji, which was an image also associated with Megan album released this past summer, which even had a special “butterfly edition” vinyl release.

Megan’s first mention of Act II came in a now-deleted teaser video that dropped just days after she hosted the VMAs.
On September 13, Meg dropped a short video where she was outfitted with butterfly wings. She captioned it, “Stay tuned hotties,” followed by three butterfly emojis.

At the end of the video, the name of the upcoming project it was meant to promote was revealed: Megan: Act Two.
Megan referred again to the project at the beginning of October, calling it the “hardest mixtape of 2024” in a social media post.

She then seemingly teased a feature from frequent collaborator GloRilla. When Glo asked her to send her the tape, Meg replied: “I just approved your mix.”
It seemed unclear at first whether Megan: Act Two would be a separate album from her Megan, released this past June; or whether it would be a deluxe edition of that project.
However, Meg referring to the project as a mixtape seems to speak to it being completely separate.
Megan has another big release coming soon as well — a documentary.

On Wednesday (October 16), Meg dropped the trailer for her forthcoming documentary In Her Words, which as its synopsis describes “takes viewers behind the scenes as the global superstar recovers from a 2020 shooting incident and grapples with the perils of fame (among other things).”
The new film on the Houston Hottie is set to premiere on October 31 via Amazon Prime Video.
