Megan Thee Stallion has recalled what it was like hearing Lil Kim for the first time in a teaser for Hulu’s new RapCaviar documentary.
The trailer for the doc was released on Thursday (March 23) and features Megan speaking on her experiences when she first discovered female rappers. According to the Houston Hottie, she didn’t know women could be rappers, as it was only male groups such as UGK and Three 6 Mafia that her mother would play at their home.

“My mom was a rapper, right, she was a female rapper, but I had never heard of women being rappers ever because my mom was listening to UGK, Three 6 Mafia, my daddy, Lil Wayne. Like, we only listening to men in the house. But one day, my mom put on Lil’ Kim … Damn, she raps harder than a lot of these guys,” Megan says in the clip.
Hulu released the official trailer for their RapCaviar Presents documentary on Thursday, and the six-part series tackles some of today’s most provocative issues through the stories of Hip-Hop artists who rule the charts and influence pop culture. It’s set to feature Tyler, the Creator, City Girls, Coi Leray, Cardi B and more.
This isn’t the first time Meg has spoken about Kim. Last September, the duo shared a photo of them celebrating a toast on a private jet. Meg and Kim were sitting next to each other, their elbows intertwined while sipping on champagne.
They were planning on collaborating for the remix to Meg’s “Plan B” track; however, the magic was never fully realized. The track ended up having a premiere with Funk Flex on Hot 97, but it was later removed from streaming days later.

On YouTube, it simply read: “This video is no longer available due to a copyright claim by International Federation of the Phonographic Industry.”
There was no clear explanation behind the removal up until fans started to think that Lil Kim was throwing shots at Nicki Minaj on the song. 50 Cent added fuel to the fire when he made the same claim about the alleged diss.
“N-gga, you’s a bitch, your father’s a bitch, your brother’s a bitch/ Keep acting like this and your son gon’ be a bitch,” Kim rapped on the track. Fif tagged Nicki in a since-deleted Instagram post, and demanded The Pinkprint rapper “light” Kim up for the verse.
“QGTM @nickiminaj you better light her ass up i’m watching,” he wrote. “she said something about the baby. her baby eye fucked up. LOL.”

Lil Kim responded in the comments: “It’s ok he just doin what bitch n-ggaz do. Now watch what God do to his Life !”
“I never said a word about anyone’s child,” Kim elaborated on her IG Story. “Please feel free to listen to the song where we were clearly talking about an EX,” she said. “To try and twist my words to have an excuse to take digs at my child is disgusting. I’m one of the most disrespected legends in the game but what you will not do is come for MY CHILD.”
