Gillie Da Kid has come to Meek Mill‘s rescue by saving him from a nasty onstage fall at a 42 Dugg concert.

In a video filmed by a fan, Meek can be seen walking backwards towards the edge of the stage while Dugg appears to try to warn him he’s close to falling off when he loses his footing.

Luckily for Meek, Gillie — who was also on stage — grabs him by the arm to stop him falling off and hitting the ground below.

The concert, which took place at Little Caesars Arena in Detroit on Friday (January 19), represented a homecoming for Dugg.

It was his first concert in the city since he was released from prison for violating his probation and then failing to report to jail.

For the big gig, he recruited a number of big names to make special appearances including Jeezy, Lil Baby, GloRilla and Yo Gotti.

Gotti’s appearance was particularly notable as it was the first time he had been seen in public since his brother Big Jook was killed earlier in January.

Appearing alongside Dugg to perform their collaboration “Fuck Em,” Gotti appeared to be wearing a bulletproof vest.

Philadelphia natives Meek Meek and Gillie Da Kid also have history. Meek was one of the first to pay tribute to Gillie’s son YNG Cheese after he was murdered last year.

The “Dreams and Nightmares” rapper wrote on Instagram after the tragedy: “RIP CHEESE GOD BLESS YOUR SOUL! Its So f%#kinh hard to survive in Philadelphia it’s a shame!”

He was also one of many who rallied around Gillie to support him in person following his son’s death.

Gillie later gave Meek a special shout out after he appeared at Gillie Fest last summer: “@MeekMill was performing my $hi, I was in the middle of thinking bout my son. And he slap the $hi out me lokey scared the $hi out me [multiple crying-laughing emojis]. I played it off tho.”
