Meek Mill has given Rick Ross his props for conducting good business through Maybach Music Group, despite Master P‘s recent comments about their dealings.

The Philly rapper took to Twitter on Saturday (March 25) to salute the MMG head honcho, to whom he was signed for the majority of his career. “Rozay kept it solid wit my contract when I came to him with the business [diamond emoji] MMG X DC,” he wrote.

It’s unclear whether Meek was referring to a recent business deal with Ross or when he first joined MMG in 2011.

In any case, the former label mates appear to be back on good terms as they’ve appeared together in a number of places recently. Just last week, Rozay and Meek reunited in the studio at Miami’s state-of-the-art House of Hits recording facility.

Both rappers posted videos and photos of their studio session on social media, with one clip containing a snippet of what appears to be a brand new collaboration between the pair.

“Getting money fuck the fame/ Ever since n-ggas called me I can’t trust the same/ You been in my back and put mud all in your brother name/ I’m gonna get you back because you know Cardo don’t play no fucking games/ All in the open with that .30 on me let it aim,” Meek rapped on the unreleased song.

Rozay hinted at the track arriving “very soon,” while Meek captioned his Instagram post by calling their in-studio reconciliation “perfect timing.”

Previously, Meek brought out Rozay as a special guest in Philadelphia at a concert commemorating the 10th anniversary of his debut album Dreams & Nightmares.

In what was their first time sharing the stage in years, the duo performed their 2011 collaboration “Ima Boss.” Ross stuck around to also perform street anthems like “B.M.F. (Blowin’ Money Fast)” and “Hustlin” as Meek played hypeman.

Rumors of beef between Meek Mill and Rick Ross have circulated since May 2021, when it was reported that the former allegedly banned his label boss from his birthday party in Miami that year and was looking to leave MMG.

Meek’s praise for Rozay comes after Master P — who used to manage the Philly rapper — suggested his initial contract with MMG wasn’t “straight,” leading him to part ways with Meek.

“I was Meek Mill’s manager. Me and James, when he first started. So, let me tell you why I stopped,” P said on The Gauds Show podcast last month. “I knew that Meek was talented, at the beginning. We had that song. I was like, ‘Meek, you don’t need to sign with nobody.’ Meek was like, ‘I’m gonna sing with Ross.’ I had looked at the contract and Ross a good dude. But he ain’t have his business straight.”

He continued: “Ross got his shit together now. He a boss. But I’m saying, at that time, you evolving, I seen it, I had the crystal ball, but [Meek] ain’t want to listen. I told James, ‘Hey, it’s cool, you gon’ handle that.’ I ain’t never got mad at Meek, I just walked away from the deal ’cause if you don’t see what I see. I been there already.”
