He said: “When I see the narrative of, a really good friend of mine like Meek, and people are trying to … Again, if he was gay — which there’s not one gay bone in his body — who cares, number one. If people wanna be gay, it is 2024. Who the fuck cares?
“Number two, there’s not a gay bone in his body, so why do people wanna lie about that? Why do people want to change the narrative of a bet he made with me to hurt him?”

Rubin then added: “That is the one thing I’ve learned about, you know, look, I’m just being blunt because it’s me. It’s the one thing I’ve learned about Black culture that I don’t like is that Black hate on hate [sic].”

Rubin was defending Meeks’s sexuality because of the viral clip of him doing bunny hops on a tennis court for Mike Rubin in 2021.
A fan brought the video up in a tweet to the Philly rapper back in May, and asked if there’d ever be an explanation for it. Meek had one.

“This a game I started from prison we used to make killers do bunny hops when they loss because it was too hostile for money,” he wrote, with a link to rappers DThang and Tdot’s 2020 “Bunny Hop” video.
He continued: “this be us!!! ima get Rubin to bunny hop for me okay lol ima teach him d thang hop!”
Earlier this year the rumors continued to follow him because it was suggested that he had a sexual relationship with Diddy, after lawsuit claimed the two got intimate with one another.
Back in February, Rodney “Lil Rod” Jones, a producer who worked on Diddy’s The Love Album: Off the Grid, infamously accused the Bad Boys Records boss (real name Sean Combs) of sexual harassment as well as drugging and threatening him over the course of a year.

The legal paperwork immediately began circulating online, with one note in particular that generated tons of attention: “Mr. Combs informed Mr. Jones that he had engaged in sexual intercourse with rapper (REDACTED), R&B singer (REDACTED), and Stevie J.”
Though the two names were concealed, footnotes attached to each suggest that the lawsuit refers to Meek Mill and Usher given the respective descriptions: “He is a Philadelphia rapper who dated Nicki Minaj” and “He performed at the Superbowl and had a successful Vegas residency.”
