Master P has given an update on the upcoming TV series based on No Limit Records, and according to the label founder, it will be one for the history books.
The 55-year-old took to Instagram on Tuesday (March 21) with a post showing himself in his younger days while giving fans the update they’ve been waiting for regarding the show.

In his post, Master P explained he and his team are still looking to fill various roles in the show and mentioned film director Deon Taylor, saying they’re about to make something special happen.
“No Limit TV series coming soon,” he wrote. “We’re still looking for people to play the Ice Cream man and other characters. The real Master P story from New Orleans to the Bay Area. @deontaylor We’re about to make history. Masterpstory.com #GODisgood.”
Master P first announced the No Limit TV series last August with an Instagram post showing a vintage photo of himself and Silkk the Shocker. In his caption, P saluted 50 Cent for both of his successful TV series (Power, BMF) and suggested his own show will be on the same level.
“Power was a hit, BMF was a hit, salute to @50cent,” the Louisiana native wrote. “Now the Master P No limit Tv series coming soon. Who y’all think should play the young Ice Cream Man? It can be an actor now or someone new. MasterPStory.com From New Orleans to the Bay Area the Real Story. Drama, romance, comedy, action and the American dream. On his official website, Master P has a teaser video for the upcoming show that’s filled with archival footage of when No Limit was at the top of the rap game. There is also an open casting call sign-up that people can use to audition for the many roles.
In 2020, Master P released a five-part docuseries on BET titled No Limit Chronicles, which highlighted his legendary label from the early days to the present.

Last year, the mogul kicked off a special No Limit Records Reunion tour celebrating the same set of shows in 1997 that featured all of the label’s acts, including Silkk the Shocker, Fiend, Mia X, Mystikal and more.
