Master P‘s basketball lineage runs deep and he’s showing support to his high school hooping son, Mercy Miller, who had a highlight reel dunk earlier this week in a victory.

The No Limit Records boss hyped up his son with an Instagram post on Thursday (February 2) following Notre Dame’s 88-61 over LeBron James’ son’s Bronny James’ Sierra Canyon which featured the thunderous posterizing dunk from Mercy Miller.

“Hard work pays off. The beast came out and showed ‘NO MERCY’ My son @mercymiller got another win against Sierra Canyon,” he wrote. “Final score 88-61. Making the non-believers believe. He’s only a junior in high school. Lord have mercy. Can’t stop God’s Plan.#25 #millergang ‘THEY CANT HIDE THE TRUTH.'”

Master P posted another highlight reel from the California powerhouse matchup touting his junior son’s ability as the “best kept secret in basketball” who clearly has aspirations of playing in college.

“Hard work pays off,” he continued. “When you live in the gym, get up at 5am, you can’t help but to see results. The best kept secret in basketball. My son @MercyMiller 6’4 high school junior helped his team Notre Dame get the 88-61 win over top ranked Sierra Canyon with a monster dunk.”

He added: “They can’t keep hiding his talent, one of these basketball experts is going to tell the world that he’s the real deal.”

Wednesday night’s win wasn’t the only recent victory over Sierra Canyon as Notre Dame edged out SC by a score of 66-62 in an ESPN showcase at UCLA’s Pauley Pavilion on January 27.

Basketball runs deep in the Miller family blood. Master P’s son, Hercy Miller, is currently a sophomore guard playing in college for the Louisville Cardinals and the New Orleans rap mogul himself had NBA hoop dreams with a pair of stints in training camp with the Charlotte Hornets and Toronto Raptors in 1999 respectively.

At 29 years old, P even poured in eight points in a pre-season game with the Raptors but thought he wasn’t given a fair chance to make the team because of his celebrity status.

Meanwhile, Snoop Dogg and Master P have taken their breakfast collaboration to new heights, revealing last month that their collab has finally earned a national distribution deal.

Tha Doggfather and No Limit boss have been chipping away at their cereal for a few months now, unveiling three new flavors of Snoop Cereal back in December, but on Martin Luther King Day (January 16) shared a video to celebrate the national deal alongside employees of the Minnesota-based cereal company Post Cereals.
