Marsha Ambrosius has jumped on the conspiracy theory bandwagon and cast doubt on whether Stevie Wonder is truly blind.
In a recent episode of Tank and J. Valentine’s R&B Money podcast, the Floetry alum openly suggested that the soul icon — who has been blind since birth — can in fact see.

“Stevie Wonder, the stories he can tell with his tone, before lyrics even come into it and claims he can’t see,” she said. “We know that you can see, it’s fine.”
“We agree,” Tank replied, while Valentine opted to avoid the somewhat controversial topic.

Marsha then proceeded to quote lyrics from Stevie Wonder to further argue her case.
“‘I see us in the park.’ Do you?” she said, much to the amusement of Tank who interjected: “I love Stevie. I’m not gon’ do this with you, Marsha.”

However, that didn’t stop their guest from continuing: “It’s not fair! ‘There’s a ribbon in the sky for our love.’ Is there? Is there a ribbon in the sky? Is it up there for our love?”
“I’ve actually never seen one,” Valentine said, to which Marsha replied: “He did.”

The conversation didn’t sit well with fans, as many found Marsha Ambrosius’ comments not only disrespectful but also inappropriate to laugh at.
“Yall got chill. He’s blind but has been gifted sensory abilities for sound, touch and sense. But most all he has full access to his 3rd eye which is why he is clairvoyant in many ways. He is also the best musician of ALL TIME ! Let’s speak on itttt….” wrote one user on X (formerly Twitter).

“I can’t believe grown adults keep disrespecting this man and laughing about it, this is the type of immaturity you expect to see in school children,” a second comment reads.
Despite the backlash, Marsha isn’t the only person who has openly questioned Stevie Wonder’s blindness.
In a memorable 2018 appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Donald Glover seemed to echo her skepticism while recounting a peculiar encounter with the legendary musician.
“I used his songs in Atlanta and you have to ask special permission. I called him, I got his number. So we’re texting, [which is] already crazy,” Glover said.

“I’m like, ‘Hey Stevie I want to use your song.’ He’s then like, ‘Well, send it over, let me read it.’ It gets turned into braille, gets sent to him, he reads it and then we don’t hear anything.”
After receiving the initial rough cut of the episode, Glover said he wanted to gauge how it would align with Wonder’s track.

“He just texts back like, ‘Man, I love it,'” he added. “All the time I’m like, ‘How’d he do that?’ Like, touching the TV screen like, ‘This is funny?'”
