Machine Gun Kelly got in his throwback bag over the weekend and perfectly hit that Soulja Boy at a 2000s-themed party.

On Saturday (May 18), MGK hosted a 2000s night at 27 Club, the Cleveland-based coffee shop he owns. Alongside friends DubXX and DJ Ace, the genre: sadboy rapper executed the popular 2007 dance to “Crank That” with precision.

He pulled off the move while also looking the part in an oversized white tee and Chuck Taylors, the latter of which he’d often rock in the early days of his career.

It was a busy few days for Machine Gun Kelly at home in Cleveland this weekend. Outside of his nostalgic fun, he also appeared to have squashed his beef with Millyz following a tense confrontation.

In late May, a video surfaced of the two rappers in the same venue in the Ohio city. After being made aware of Kelly’s presence and hearing somebody shout, “Oh shit! fuck MGK!,” the Massachusetts rapper could be seen making his way backstage to seemingly confront his rival.

Following some tussling between the pair’s respective entourages, MGK and Millyz come face to face as it seemed like things were about to go left. However, the two rappers then stepped away for a private chat, before emerging later on and dapping each other up.

“My boy. Respect,” Millyz can be heard saying to MGK before the two went their separate ways.

The largely one-sided beef saw Millyz repeatedly calling out MGK.

“MGK is garbage. He can’t rap, but he got a good rockstar image, but like I’m a real rapper. I really break down bars, syllables and words, so I look past image and flow,” the 33-year-old said in a 2022 interview with VladTV.

“A lot of white rappers just came through and did that fast flow and said nothing, so he came in with a rockstar image and all of that, but you’re not nice though.”

He added: “So even when the Eminem battle happened, and peoples minds was blown because at the time, they expected MGK to just get blown out. So when he showed any type of resistance, he came in and said a rap, ‘Your beard is weird.’ Name a bar from that song. That shit is garbage.”

Millyz later dissed MGK in a freestyle, on which he spat: “That goofy white rapper tried to block me out the industry/ Hated on my come-up, I remember that shit vividly/ You only dissed on Jack because you know I do ’em viciously,” referencing Kelly’s own shot against Jack Harlow.

MGK would later hit back on a freestyle of his own, where he rapped: “I only got 1 kid but look at dude and see my son or something.”
