Lupe Fiasco has been able to share a touching moment with his “favorite rapper” Ja Rule, during which he told the Murder Inc. rapper just how big of a fan he is.
Lupe and Ja were able to connect backstage at a recent show, and the Drill Music in Zion rapper was quick to give Ja Rule his flowers, and even took a moment to shout out his first three albums.

“This all I need right here,” Lupe said in the heartwarming meet and greet. “Listen, I grew up on Ja Rule, you feel me? I don’t give a fuck what no muthafucka say. They asked me who’s my favorite rapper, who I was listening to when I was coming up … give me Venni, Vetti, Vecci, n-gga. Give me muthafuckin’ Pain Is Love over anything n-gga. I don’t give a fuck. Give me [Rule] 3:36 over anything. Fuck these n-ggas, feel me? I’m bumpin’ Ja n-gga, fuck you!”
The pair then hugged it out as Lupe continued to tell Ja just how much he means to him.
Lupe Fiasco has his share of fans too. Tyler, The Creator recently gave the Chicago lyricist his flowers after he watched the rapper perform his 2007 album The Cool in full last September.
“Seen lupe do THE COOL in full last night,” Tyler tweeted. “Amazing performer. gold watch the coolest but paris tokyo with the shoutout to me was….mannnnnnnnnn my heart jetted outta my body. loved.”

Tyler, The Creator has long been an adamant fan and supporter of Lupe Fiasco’s work, and for years has been claiming the music industry didn’t treasure or respect the rapper’s work.
He reaffirmed this thought in 2021, writing on Twitter: “we didn’t protect Lupe mannnn.” Lupe Fiasco decided to respond this time around and reassured his rap peer that he’s living the good life.
“I’m still here fam lol,” Lupe wrote. “I’m happy. Family good. Life is awesome. Make my little money doing shows to Fund my lil side hustles. Joined the Illuminati. Pornography is better than it’s ever been. Chill case looking promising. Lawsuits settled. Booty muscles looking 25 again. Solid.”
As for Ja Rule, he was a bit disappointed earlier this month when he wasn’t included in Billboard and Vibe’s 50 Greatest Rappers of All Time list. Regardless, he took a moment to shout out the 50 artists on Twitter.
