Logic lives and breathes Hip Hop, so it comes as no surprise that he is impressed with Danny Brown’s most recent album.

Last week, the Detroit rapper finally dropped Quaranta to critical acclaim, and Bobby Tarantino was among the countless fans to express their admiration for the project.

Logic and Danny Brown linked up earlier this year, when they talked about negotiating the challenges of hitting a dead end in the creative process.

During an episode of the Danny Brown Show that aired over the summer, the two MCs had a chat about steadily writing and releasing content and dealing with writer’s block along the way.

“Where’s the creative energy coming from?” Brown asked regarding his peer’s prolific output. “I just can’t fuckin’ rap that much, man. Maybe I’m getting [to] that age, that’s what it is. But no, I was like that even when I was younger.”

In response, the Maryland native said: “I don’t think it’s an age thing. As creatives, we all work differently, you know what I mean? I got this shit that’s just pent up in me, y’know, like I write novels, I write movies, I write albums, I have fun, I do, y’know, whatever.”

He then recalled an interview in which an author (whose name he couldn’t remember) was asked how to overcome writer’s block, to which his response was, “Just write.”

Agreeing with the advice, Danny added: “When you writing about your life, there ain’t no writer’s block. If you telling the truth, it ain’t no writer’s block.

“And that’s what I learned — when you trying to be cool and trying to make up bars and trying to do shit, yeah, you going to have writer’s block ’cause shit gon’ get dry, but if you just talkin’ about what you got going on in your life, no matter what, you never gonna have writer’s block.”
