Logic has finally responded to Joe Budden’s brutal plea for him to retire, branding him a “hurt man.”
The Joe Budden Podcast host ridiculed the Maryland native once again earlier this year by begging him to quit music after hearing his singing cover of Ice Cube’s “It Was a Good Day.”

“Logic, I beg of you, I’m pleading with you: please join me in retirement,” he said on his self-titled podcast. “Never step near a recording device again! Throw your phone in the ocean! Be allergic to microphones! Promise your fans nothing! Don’t go to the studio ever again! You are the worst, yo! You are really, really bad!”
He continued: “And then when we think he can’t get any worse, you have the bright idea of doing an Ice Cube flip.”

Sitting down for an interview with MSNBC’s Ari Melber this week, Logic hit back at Budden. During a quick-fire round of word association towards the end of their lengthy conversation, Melber asked Logic how he feels about the outspoken podcast host.
“A hurt man, a very smart man and a fucking hater,” he responded with a laugh.
While Joe Budden wasn’t alone in his mockery of Logic’s Ice Cube cover, his scathing remarks about the Bobby Tarantino rapper certainly caused a stir on social media.
His former Slaughterhouse groupmate KXNG Crookedcame to Logic’s defense by questioning Budden’s harsh and continued criticisms.

“Why does dude hate Logic’s music so much? Serious question,” he asked his almost 275,000 Twitter followers, before admitting there’s a handful of rappers he’d like to see throw in the towel long before the DMV rhymer.
“It’s some rappers I wish would retire waaaaaayyy before Logic,” he added, albeit without naming names.

Budden seemingly responded to Crook by calling out people who keep his name in their mouth.
“A lot of ppl that swore to y’all they would hop off my dick have yet to do so,” he tweeted. “Men that i don’t mention at all & never will. If you ‘don’t like me’ you should stop liking the attention you get when you say my name… Stand on your own and be a man… for a change.”
When another Twitter user asked him to name names, the New Jersey native replied: “Not even worth the headache.”
Joe Budden’s verbal bashing of Logic began in 2019 when he dubbed him “easily one of the worst rappers to ever grace a microphone” after listening to his verse on French Montana’s “Twisted” which also featured A$AP Rocky and Juicy J.
When Logic announced he was retiring the following year, Budden piled on the hate by suggesting nobody cared and saying he “should’ve retired a long time ago.”

Budden later apologized for his disparaging comments and admitted that he had “projected” some of his “tumultuous” emotions onto Logic. The damage, however, had already been done.
“This dude doesn’t like me for whatever reason,” Logic said of Budden on Hot 97. “He wants to say I’m not Black enough, I’m not good enough. He’s a person who’s led to part of my depression and some of my darkest spaces.

“He can take that however he wants. Bro, your words make people want to kill themselves and that’s a real thing. But, to be strong enough to also understand that’s not the end all, be all and other people aren’t the end all, be all … and I’m not up at night like, ‘Oh, I can’t sleep.’”
