Logic has dropped another new song titled “Highlife,” and its accompanying music video features a cameo from the stoner comedy duo Jay and Silent Bob.
The light-hearted visual follows the Maryland native as he raps about the joys of getting high while partying it up alongside actors Jason Mewes and Kevin Smith, who portrayed Jay and Silent Bob in films such as Clerks, Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back and Jay and Silent Bob Reboot.

“Up when the sun shines, yeah/ Motivated by the people I see around me all the time, all the time/ Uh, yeah, sometimes I, I doubt myself in the moment/ Only for a moment, I’m knowin’/ No, it ain’t always gon’ be this way, what can I say?/ That’s why I buy it, break it, roll it, light it/ Smoke it, ignite it, every day,” Logic raps on the uplifting track.

“Highlife” is just the latest offering from Logic as he gears up to drop his new album College Park on February 24. He most recently dropped off the single “Maybach Music” last week, which he recorded inside a brand new $325,000 Maybach.
To coincide with the release of the album’s lead single “Wake Up” earlier in January, Urban Outfitters announced a special “varsity green vinyl” of the Grammy-nominated rapper’s upcoming LP, all 500 copies of which sold out in a mere 60 seconds.

According to a trailer for the album that was released earlier this month, College Park will feature appearances from Joey Bada$$, RZA, Redman, Bun B, Statik Selektah, Norah Jones, Fat Trel, Phil Ade, Seth MacFarlane and more.
The project will mark Logic’s first independent album after he severed ties with Def Jam in 2022. His final release on the label was Vinyl Days, which he revealed was recorded in just 12 days to accelerate his departure.
Bobby Tarantino announced a partnership with BMG, which grants the rapper ownership of his masters for the first time in his career.
“There’s a lot of bullshit in the music industry,” he said in a statement at the time. “I’m just glad to move on to a place where I can be independent and respected as an artist, and feel like I’m in control of my career.”

Logic also announced earlier in January that he has another baby on the way with his wife Brittney Noell. The Maryland MC shared a video from their ultrasound on Instagram soundtracked by an unreleased song.
Cookin’ Soul, Lena Waithe, Project Pat and Rob Markman were but a few of Logic’s peers who congratulated the rapper in his comments section.
