Logic has seemingly stumbled on a new talent thanks to Dave Chappelle.

In an Instagram post on Wednesday (July 3), the DMV rapper gushed over a recent performance with the legendary comedian which saw him showcase his own funny side and go “back and forth” with Chappelle.

“Last night was one of the greatest nights of performing of my life!!” Logic wrote underneath a photo of him and Chappelle backstage in a green room.

“Me and Dave Chappelle shared the stage for hours doing stand up back and forth and then I did an hour set!! It was an incredible secret show for our families, friends and all my fans who came.”

He added: “Tonight I saw the future of how I perform on stage from here on out. Thank you @davechappelle and all his homies who I now consider family.”

Logic’s post also included a video of a friend recalling his own experience at the show, saying: “Bobby Boy performed with Dave Chappelle on stage at his club in his city that he owns, and we’ve been kicking it with the n-gga for 48-plus hours.

“You went fucking crazy, went back and forth with Dave Chappelle like fucking Venus and Serena on the tennis court… Doing stand-up, hitting them raps, going fucking insane, n-gga. I don’t even know what to say, fool. That shit was just tight as fuck.”

The performance wasn’t well received by all, though, with some fans criticizing Logic in the comments section for aligning himself with Dave Chappelle, who has faced backlash for his remarks about the LGBTQ community.

“Disappointed that you cape for someone who is so ruthless to trans people,” one person wrote, while another said: “The peace love and positivity dude hangs out with the dude whos known for just shitting on trans people breh.”

“I’ll always support you trying new things but as I know that you’ve looked up to this guy he’s just overall not a good person who I can support I hope you don’t continue working with him personally,” a third user added.

Logic previously namedropped Chappelle on “Everybody Dies,” which appeared on his 2018 album YSIV.
