Lil Yachty has long respected Tyler, The Creator’s artistry and the two have collaborated in the past, but Lil Boat wants to go a step further and make a full project with the Grammy-winner.

The eclectic rapper recently opened up about his hopes to do a joint project with Tyler in an all-encompassing cover story with Billboard surrounding his psychedelic rock album Let’s Start Here.

“I would love to do a project with Tyler [The Creator],” said Yachty. “He’s the reason I made this album. He’s the one who told me to do it, just go for it. He’s so confident and I have so much respect for him because he takes me seriously, and he always has.”

Tyler was one of the talented music dignitaries that Yachty played the album for before feeling confident enough to release it to the fans. In addition to Tyler, Kendrick Lamar, J. Cole, Post Malone, Drake, Cardi B, Kid Cudi, A$AP Rocky all heard the project early and gave him the added confidence to go full steam ahead.
