Lil Yachty had no problem commenting on fellow MC Rob49‘s appearance to his face, telling him that he “looks like a fish.”
The New Orleans MC was a guest on Lil Boat’s A Safe Place Podcast on Wednesday (April 10), which, notably, was not a very safe space for Rob.

Rob set Yachty up for the diss when he asked: “How old I look?”
The “A Cold Sunday” rapper replied: “You look young.” Before adding: “I was gonna say you kinda look like a fish.”

Yachty continued: “He kinda look like…a Avatar.”
Rob didn’t take too kindly, replying: “I’ll bust y’all ass in your here. I’m from New Orleans.” Check out the interaction below, which begins at about the 29:30 mark.
Yachty doesn’t always talk trash on his podcast. Last month, he and ScHoolboy Q were stunned by Lil Wayne’s “insane” album sales.
In a March episode of the podcast, the two MCs reflected on the changing eras of album sales and how impressive Weezy’s run was.

Yachty began: “Lil Wayne did a million on a leaked, bootleg album! Tha Carter III. I had that album months before it came out. N-gga at the barber shop had it in the back of his Buick.”
A producer also noted that Weezy’s Rebirth album did 176,000 units in its first week, which blew Yachty away.

He added: “That’s insane. Everyone clowned Rebirth. That’s his rock album, right? He was Drake before Drake!”
Elsewhere, Yachty recently responded to a social media user who responded to a snippet of a new Playboi Carti track by saying he bit Carti’s style. The track, which was previewed by Kai Cenat, led the user to write: “Carti can’t try 1 new sound without rappers immediately biting him, he’s generational.”
The “Poland” rapper objected strongly to the idea that he’d taken inspiration from Carti.
“[H]ow did i bite him?” Yachty asked. “[T]he beat? if that’s the case i been workin with cardo since 2019-2020 on record yall fans be smoking the strongest dick.”

Yachty and Carti both have extensive histories with producer Cardo. The beatmaker has produced or co-produced many of Carti’s recent singles, including “H00dByAir,” “Backr00ms” and “EvilJ0rdan.” Yachty’s own history with Cardo, as he mentioned, dates back years, and he has released music with the producer as recently as February.
