Lil Wayne is insisting that his former assistant take a medical exam to set the record straight in his lawsuit alleging assault, battery and intentional infliction of emotional distress, among other things, against the rapper.

On Tuesday (October 17), Radar Online obtained legal documents confirming that Andrew Williams has agreed to undergo an independent evaluation by a doctor per Weezy’s demand.

The clinical screening aims for full transparency on his injury and medical history. This will involve an investigation into his psychiatric track record and history of substance abuse, if any.

Since the case was filed, the Hip Hop mogul has maintained his innocence and claimed self-defense for allegedly punching his ex-employee in the jaw.

Last year, Williams sued Tunechi, Young Money Entertainment and a company called Signature Flight Support for unspecified damages. The incident allegedly occurred on June 10 2022, when he booked the 41-year-old MC a private plane.

Once aboard, Wayne apparently started arguing with the pilot. When Williams stepped in to try and diffuse the conflict before it turned physical, his boss apparently didn’t appreciate the interjection. As a result, he turned to him and allegedly socked him in the face.

“The combination of a closed fist and the numerous rings and large jewelry on the hands of [Wayne] caused great harm to [Williams],” the court docs read.

Williams said he sought medical attention at a local urgent care following the punch, and that the only follow-up he received from Lil Wayne and Young Money was reportedly a letter telling him to return a missing Bluetooth speaker and company backpack.

Per the original court documents, he is also suing the defendant for wrongful termination and negligence.

It wasn’t long before the Louisiana native asked the judge to throw out the entire suit, noting Williams never received any injuries and that he rightfully fired him for not exercising “reasonable care and diligence.”

Williams had previously claimed he suffered emotionally and physically as a result of Weezy’s alleged punch, saying that he “incurred general damages including incurring medical expenses in amounts to be proven at trial.” He also cited “humiliation and mental anguish” that he experienced at the hands of the rapper.

“Lil Wayne was willful and malicious and was intended to oppress and cause injury to [Williams]. [Williams] is therefore entitled to an award of punitive damages,” the suit reads.

“This termination was done despite Lil Wayne being aware of and causing [Williams’] status as a victim of a crime,” his lawyer added, claiming Wayne fired Williams “based on his race and color in violation” of California law.
