Weezy shared a trailer for the single titled “Kan’t Nobody” on Wednesday (February 22) ahead of the Ruff Ryders-assisted track’s arrival on Friday (February 24). The beat for the snippet bears a passing resemblance to DMX’s “N-ggaz Done Started Somethin” from his 1998 debut It’s Dark & Hell Is Hot. The similarity was noted by producer Dame Grease who commented, “Ohhh a remake to one my classics!! #VacantLot”

As for the timing, it seems Lil Wayne is taking issue with his ranking on Billboard‘s greatest rappers of all time list.

“@vibemagazine @billboard [hourglass emoji],” Wayne captioned the post.

Swizz Beatz hopped in the comment section adding: “Owwwwww weeeeeeeeeee!”

Billboard gave JAY-Z the top spot while Wayne came in at No. 7 and he looks to not be happy with his slot or the list’s overall rankings.

DMX passed away in April 2021 and X had his name called much earlier than Weezy as the Yonkers legend came in at No. 21 on the list.

Billboard‘s top 10 rappers also included Kendrick LamarNas2PacEminemThe Notorious B.I.G., Lil Wayne, DrakeSnoop Dogg and Nicki Minaj, in that order.

Wayne isn’t the only rapper to voice his displeasure with the rankings as Ja Rule, Fat Joe,Ice Cube and more have fired back at Billboard and Vibe.

“Who?” Cube asked rhetorically when a reporter mentioned Billboard‘s list. “I don’t fuck with Billboard or the editor. Billboard ain’t Hip Hop so their opinion don’t matter. So who gives a fuck?”

Cube added that his Mount Westmore contemporary Too $hort not being included on the list was definitely an undeserved snub.

“It’s an irrelevant list,” he continued. “It’s like assholes: everybody got one and they all stink.”

Ja Rule wasn’t included on the list at all and he complained about his omission.

“There ain’t 50 rappers dead, alive or waiting to be born better than me… #ICONN #Vibes,” he tweeted. “@billboard congrats to everyone on the list well deserved but check my resume… #ICONN #Vibes.”
