Lil Wayne has officially backtracked his stance on whether or not Anthony Davis should be traded from the Los Angeles Lakers.
Tunechi appeared on UNDISPUTED last week, as he does every Friday, and the conversation turned to the previous night’s NBA game, in which the Lakers put up a great performance against the Celtics, despite the absence of LeBron James.

As the discussion about the Lakers came to a close, Skip Bayless asked Lil Wayne — who last November had made the bold claim that the team could only win a championship in the future if they “get rid of [Anthony Davis]” — if he still feels the same way about the former New Orleans Pelicans star with the NBA’s trade deadline fast approaching.
“You can’t get nobody for him that’s gon’ replace what he can do,” Wayne said. “There’s nobody out there like that.” Weezy then quipped that perhaps he would be interested “If you could get Jokic, but you can’t do that.”
Lil Wayne wasn’t the only rapper/sports aficionado who lost faith in Anthony Davis last year.
Back in March 2023, Cam’ron affirmed that same sentiment during a segment on his sports talk show It Is What It Is.

Tha Carter III rapper will be coaching alongside Stephen A. Smith and WNBA star A’Ja Wilson. Their team will feature: Adam Blackstone, Natasha Cloud, Jennifer Hudson, Tristan Jass, AJ McLean, Kwame Onwuachi, Metta World Peace, Jack Ryan, CJ Stroud, and Gianmarco Tamberi.
