Lil Uzi Vert has confirmed a new project is on the way, despite previously announcing they’d be retiring from music after their last project.
In a new conversation with social media personality Ben Weiss, Uzi was asked what they were working on and revealed that their next album would be Eternal Atake 2. This directly contradicts what they told fans back in October, however.

During night two of their Pink Tape Tour in Chicago, the Philadelphia rapper said that their upcoming album Luv Is Rage 3 would be their “last.”
The 28-year-old promised fans that they will embark on one more tour to support the project, but said they will retire from music after it finishes in hopes of leading a “normal life.”
“Luv Is Rage 3 will be my last album,” Uzi told the crowd at the time, which was met by audible disappointment. “No, relax. It’s okay […] After Luv Is Rage 3, I guess I will go on another tour for Luv Is Rage 3. But after that, I wanna try to live a normal life.”
In December, Lil Uzi Vert also offered up a sample from Luv Is Rage 3, though it’s possible now that the snippet could be from Eternal Atake 2.

During an Instagram Live, they interpolated Drake’s “7969 Santa,” which lived on For All The Dogs and was sung by Teezo Touchdown.
Uzi warbles over the piano-driven production: “Dogs will be dogs/ Don’t we made wrong/ Find my way home/ Dogs will be dogs.
“Scratch my back when I am/ What’s my purpose/ Woe means best friend, thunder-lightning I’m so frightened but I’m your protector.”
Uzi previewed a separate song on the IG Live which found them utilizing a more woozy and syrupy flow.

A release date has not been announced for either project, but it looks hopeful that both will be coming in the near future.
