Lil Reese has maintained his innocence after being arrested for an alleged rape in Los Angeles.
According to TMZ, the Chicago rapper (real name Tavares Taylor) went on a date with a woman this past weekend and afterwards they went back to a hotel, where the woman claims Reese insisted on them having sex.

According to the police, the woman rejected his advances before Reese forced himself on her and raped her.
The alleged victim then went down to the lobby of the hotel and notified police in the early hours of Sunday (July 14).

Shortly afterwards, Reese was arrested while still at the hotel on suspicion of sexual assault and rape.
The 31-year-old was released on a $100,000 bond and has already used his time free from jail to refute the rape accusations.
On Instagram, he wrote: “On my sister Ree Ree the whole story cap and made up fuc I look like this ain’t that I know better and the same way ya’ll posting that shi make sure ya’ll post the case get thrown out on my court date they do anything for clout and tryna come up try again.”
Boosie Badazz was also witness to Lil Reese’s arrest and detailed the incident in a short clip posted online.
“Aye, I’m at a hotel in downtown [L.A.], they just took Lil Reese to jail. He came out handcuffed, they had all his bags,” he said.

“So Lil Reese’s people, y’all need to check on him. They just took him to jail. Some dude came down and say some woman lied on him or some shit.”
Reese has a history of violent behavior towards women.
Last year, he was caught on camera fighting a group of women, during which he punched and grabbed one of the women around the neck.
Back in 2012, footage emerged of Lil Reese repeatedly slapping and pulling the hair of a woman who was later revealed to be his baby mother.

At the time, Reese took to Twitter (now X) to claim the clip was years old and that its release was an attempt at “haters” trying to “see a mf Dwn.” He also expressed no remorse about his behavior.
But in April 2022, he revealed to VladTV that he regretted his actions: “I wish I could take it back. I would have never did it. I would have never did that shit, though.”
