Lil Mosey has dropped off his first new music since beating a 2020 rape case that almost landed him in jail for life.
On Friday (March 17), Lil Mosey shared a GIF of himself on Instagram to promote his new single “Flu Game.” In the caption, he wrote: “I’m back [Upside down face emoji] Flu Game out now on all platforms!! Link in my bio.”

Lil Mosey’s “Flu Game” is inspired by Michael Jordan’s 1997 Finals game against the Utah Jazz. During that game, Jordan was experiencing flu-like symptoms and was extremely lethargic at times, but he found a way to win the game and ultimately capture his fifth NBA championship.
In the short video for “Flu Game,” Lil Mosey can be seeing rocking a classic Michael Jordan jersey and glaring diamonds while giving viewers his lyrical point-of-view. He can be seen in various settings including up against a backdrop of adoring fans and in a room surrounded by all his platinum plaques.

On March 2, the Seattle-raised rapper (real name Lathan Moses Stanley Echols) was cleared of all rape charges by a jury in Chehalis, Washington.
Lil Mosey was charged with second-degree rape after a woman claimed he and another man named Francisco Prater sexually assaulted her at a party in Randle, Washington in January 2020.
In a statement, Mosey’s attorney Shane O’Rourke said the verdict “vindicated” his client’s not guilty plea while accusing prosecutors of “unwilling to accept the evidence of his innocence” throughout the almost two-year case.
“Mosey maintained his innocence from the start and has now been cleared of all charges,” O’Rourke said. “He voluntarily submitted to two lie detector tests and passed each of them prior to trial. The prosecutors were unwilling to accept the evidence of his innocence after two years of investigation and proof.
He added: “Mosey has been completely vindicated and didn’t deserve to ever be prosecuted.”

The “Blueberry Faygo” hitmaker — who also passed multiple polygraph tests prior to the trial, which began on February 22 — took to social media to celebrate his acquittal.
“Spent 2 years of my life going thru the storm and I’m happy to say that God finally brought the truth to light. Thank you,” he wrote on Instagram.
