Drake has made a surprise cameo in the star-studded Season 3 finale of Lil Dicky‘s Dave series on Hulu, which also included an appearance from Hollywood A-lister Brad Pitt.
The finale episode — which aired on Wednesday night (May 31) — is fittingly titled “Looking For Love” and sees Dave searching for a new girlfriend after breaking up with Robyn (Chloe Bennet).

While pursuing his date with Rachel McAdams after meeting at the Met Gala, Drake and Brad Pitt are brought into the fold to cap off an epic finale.
Drizzy’s cameo shouldn’t come as too much of a surprise to fans as Dave (Lil Dicky) has repeatedly spoken out about how he idolizes the 6 God throughout the series to the point he’s scared to craft the perfect DM.
Rolling Stonecaught up with Lil Dicky earlier this week to get an explanation as to how the Dave creator locked down the pair of entertainment heavyweights for cameos, who are both massive fans of the show.
“My real first time I met Drake, I was in the studio with Kanye West. I had no idea Drake was coming. I was on cloud nine with Kanye,” he said. “I was playing the music video for ‘Freaky Friday’ before it came out. I’m already texting GaTa, like, ‘This is the best day of my life. I can’t believe I’m with Kanye right now!’ And then Drake walks in. I was so ill-prepared to meet Drake. My brain was, like, ‘Oh my god, how am I going to juggle Drake and Kanye?’ I’m a normal guy, and I idolize these men.

“I showed Drake the video, too, and Drake said it’s one of the best music videos ever. He literally said it to me. Then I saw him again at a bar, and we really connected and started talking more. He said, ‘Man, I watch your show religiously.’
Dicky continued as Drake heaped praise on the show: “I was really moved by it. And then when I shot with him and was hanging out with him, he said, ‘This is one of the most important shows of our generation. The things I care about? I don’t know that there’s more important stuff.'”
The Philadelphia native heard Brad Pitt was a fan of the show through one of Dave‘s producers and sent him an email pitching him on the idea of starring in an episode and the long shot somehow worked out for Dicky.
“I sent a real impassioned email just to Brad, someone gave me his email,” he added. “I drafted it for days. Then I got a response back, from an email that I had never known. I don’t even know if I want to share the email that he sent me.

“But it was so incredible. It made me think, like, ‘Is this real?’ It was also kind of mind-blowing that it took him walking on set, and me seeing Brad Pitt in real life, to believe that this was actually happening.”
