Lecrae has made a career out of using Hip Hop to share his faith, and he’s targeted Lil Nas X for his recent slate of new music, which he feels is “mocking” the Lord.
The Christian rapper took to Instagram on Saturday (January 13) to upload a screenshot of a tweet, in which he offered his thoughts on the potential consequences of the younger artist’s actions.

“okay I gotta admit Lil Nas is playing with fire mocking Jesus,” he wrote. “he’s getting the attention he wants from folks at the risk of searing his conscious. Still if God can transform King Neb, murders, [sic] slave masters, sex workers, etc. he can add another Blasphemer to the list.”
He added a lengthy caption, in which he offered deeper context.

“We generally find ourselves outraged at blatant disrespect of our Lord,” he wrote in the lengthy caption to the post. “Even the Torah in Leviticus 24 says “The one who blasphemes the name of the Lord shall surely be put to death.” But as frustrating as it may be to see, here are some thoughts.”
He continued: “1. We have to remember God used different means to demonstrate his anger before Christ came, now Jesus has taken the full cup of that wrath on the cross. 2. Be thankful that God is patient because many of us benefit from that grace, mercy, and patience today. 3. When the blasphemy against the Lord was at its height Jesus was being beaten and in the process of being murdered and his response was “Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do.” Let us remember to pray for folks who are blinded as we once were.”
Kai Cenat, another self-proclaimed Christian, has also hit out at Lil Nas X for mocking Jesus Christ and Christianity in his new song and video.
In a clip from a livestream posted online, Cenat goes off on the controversial rapper, who has been trolling Christians and some of their attitudes towards homosexuality as he rolls out new music.
The Twitch streamer took issue with the promo tactics, saying: “Yo, Lil Nas X, you could eat my whole dick! I hate that n-gga, bro. God gonna handle you in the right way … God gonna handle you, bro.”
When asked by someone off camera why he’s mad, Cenat said: “He’s extremely disrespectful. Go on his page, bro. He’s disrespecting God himself. He’s disrespecting the whole culture.”

The rapper and singer also recently caught some heat from boxer Ryan Garcia who said on X: “Christian family where are you??? As someone who loves God and is a Christian, I find this one of the most disrespectful and disturbing things someone can do.
“Even if you aren’t Christian this isn’t okay I wouldn’t disrespect someone’s belief and I’m hurt and furious at the same time. More so hurt.”
