LaLa Anthony has praised Lil Baby for helping volunteer at her prison reform group at Riker’s Island the same day he released his latest album, It’s Only Me.
During a visit to The Jason Lee Show with her BMF co-star Da’Vinchi earlier this week, LaLa took a second to salute the Atlanta rap star for his humanitarian efforts on the day he released his third studio album, It’s Only Me. According to LaLa, Baby came to Riker’s Island to speak to the children that are a part of her prison reform program.

“I wanna say something about Lil Baby,” Anthony said. “I have a prison reform group, and he came, and he talked to the kids at Rikers Island in my prison reform group. The day his album dropped. I thought that was so special that he did that the day his album dropped.”
She added that Lil Baby loves to give back, while Jason Lee said although he doesn’t follow the new generation of rap, he’s a huge fan of the My Turn rapper for all he does for the community.
Lil Baby’s Good Samaritan ways haven’t gone unnoticed. In November 2022, he was awarded his own day, with November 13 being officially recognized as Dominique “Lil Baby” Jones Day going forward. The 27-year-old hitmaker received a proclamation from the Atlanta City Council at a special ceremony.
The proclamation cited Lil Baby’s successful Hip Hop career and impact as a “musical ambassador” for Atlanta, as well as his “generous” philanthropic efforts, including the launch of his Four the People Foundation.
Lil Baby has continually given back to his local community through his foundation, from starting a $100,000 scholarship fund at his alma mater, Booker T. Washington High School, to pledging $1.5 million of the proceeds from his 2020 hit “The Bigger Picture” to underserved neighborhoods.

While he’s continuing to help others in need, Lil Baby is crossing things off his bucket list, such as performing on Saturday Night Live. The “We Paid” rapper served as the musical guest this past weekend, where he performed a rendition of “Forever” and “California Breeze.” Michael B. Jordan acted as the special guest host for the night.
