La Chat has expressed how she’s “lost and hurt” while mourning the tragic loss of her close friend and fellow Three 6 Mafia rapper Gangsta Boo.
Boo (real name Lola Mitchell) died on Sunday (January 1) in her hometown of Memphis. A cause of death has not yet been revealed, although her loved ones have ruled out any foul play.

Chat, who released a joint album with Gangsta Boo in 2014 titled Witch, has paid tribute to her friend and collaborator in various heartfelt messages and posts on social media in the days since her death. In her most recent, she opened up about the pain she’s feeling and paid tribute to her “strong” and “independent” friend.
“Thank yall 4 all the love and support I see errCall, ErrText, ErrComment I’m just lost 4 words,” she wrote. “This is not easy 4 me, Wake up in Tears, Doze Off in tears, the Tears won’t stop falling, my eyes burning. It’s gone take Sum Time but with GOD INVOLVED I KNO IMA BE OK sooner than I thank.

Gangsta Boo died at the age of 43 on Sunday (January 1). According to Fox 13 Memphis, the rapper (real name Lola Mitchell) was found dead around 4:00 p.m. local time on Sunday afternoon. The cause of death has not yet been revealed.
The Memphis rap pioneer joined Three 6 Mafia in 1994 when she was 15 and features on the legendary group’s first five albums: Mystic Stylez (1995), Chapter. 1: The End (1996), Chapter 2: World Domination (1997), When The Smoke Clears: Sixty 6, Sixty 1 (2000), and Choices: The Album (2001). She left the group in 2002 over alleged financial disputes.
