Killer Mike addressed Kai Cenat‘s recent critique of him once more in a new interview, and it’s nothing but love from the Grammy-winning MC.
Appearing on The Breakfast Club on Wednesday (February 14), Mike admitted that he didn’t know who Kaw was before the Grammy Award wins that brough him to the young influencer’s attention.

The popular Twitch streamer reacted to Michael‘s victory with a profane rant, seemingly shocked that it had triumphed over Drake and 21 Savage‘s Her Loss, Travis Scott‘s Utopia, and Metro Boomin‘s Heroes & Villains (King’s Disease III by Nas was also nominated, but went unmentioned by Cenat.)
After previously addressing the rant with a brief mention on the Baller Alert show last week, Mike went into more detail while talking with The Breakfast Club hosts.

“Don’t be afraid to own it. Like I made the best rap album last year. I know my guy Kai was upset, man. Shouts out to Kai Cenat” Mike said. “Hey man, I didn’t know who the fuck you was either. But listen, now that I know my n-gga – man let me bring a broom through ya room, player! See if we can put it together. I wanna see you win. I wanna see it happen. I’m sorry your boy didn’t get it – well no I’m not because I won.
“But shouts out to Travis. I’ve seen him grow from SXSW. I ain’t got no hate for nobody. I want you to win but if we competing, I absolutely want to win and I will rap a muthafucka under the table.”

Mike went on to say that while the 22-year-old may not care for the album now, he does believe its content will mean much more to him as he gets older.
“I’m just here to tell Kai, as you grow – because you’re a leader. You will lead a team, you got a bunch of money now,” he added. “As you grow into your leadership, this album’s gonna be more and more relevant to you. As you matriculate more into adulthood, because you’re a young man, this album is gonna mean more and more to you.”
On February 4, Killer Mike picked up all three of the 2024 Grammys for which his critically acclaimed album MICHAEL was nominated: Best Rap Song and Best Rap Performance for the Andre 3000 and Future-assisted “Scientists & Engineers,” and the coveted Best Rap Album trophy for project itself.
The “sweep” was greeted with euphoria by the veteran MC and his fans alike, but Kai Cenat wasn’t feeling it.

Mike seemingly took the streamer’s remarks in stride, but did offer a few words of advice in his initial reaction to the comments as well.
“I’m just gonna say to young people out there,” the Run The Jewels rapper said, “it ain’t nothing wrong with expanding, it ain’t nothin’ wrong with trying something else. You don’t have to always be in the crowd,” he said.
While on his post-Grammy win media run, Mike also stopped by Apple Music 1’s live interview set up in Las Vegas for the Super Bowl over the weekend – and he revealed that MICHAEL is only the first in a trilogy of LPs, on which he has already resumed working.
“The first album we got to kinda take the nine-year-old to where I’ve grown into as an adult, but I wanna cut deeper. There’s deeper levels to go, you know. We already plotting out what the next one’s gonna be, me and Cuz Lightyear were in the studio with Mike Will the next night. And we working.

“I just wanna work and produce works of art that’s gonna live long after I’m gone. So I can’t do that celebrating this too long. The celebration is fun, but after this, when I get back to Atlanta, I’ll be working.”
