Kid Cudi has promised that more Travis Scott collabs are on the way despite the pair having previously canceled their joint album last December.
Cudder and the Cactus Jack leader were initially working on an album together tentatively titled The Scotts, and even dropped the lead single off the project back in 2020. However, during an early morning Q&A session with fans in 2022, Cudder confirmed he unfortunately had to pull the plug on the project.

“Is The Scotts album still on the cards,” the fan asked, to which Cudi replied: “Naw im not doin that. The moment has passed.”
However, Cudder announced during a recent performance at Lyrical Lemonade’s Summer Smash that he and Trav are hard at work on new music, and that fans can expect some crazy collabs to drop in the next few months.

“We got some new joints on this new album, ‘Insano’ coming out later on in a couple months,” the Man On The Moon rapper told the crowd. “You know I feel like why I’m doing these shows right now, I gotta be out here repping for my guy and this shit is for Trav.”
Cudi then ran through his joint 2020 single with La Flame, which debuted atop the Billboard Hot 100 chart during its first week, nabbing Cudi his first number-one hit single.
Cudi had previously announced back in March that he’d be dropping some new tunes this month, and during an Instagram Live session said his next project, which could be his last as Kid Cudi, would likely be “album of the year.”
“I’ve never made a project this powerful before in my life. Sitting, listening to these mixes, I just know that this shit is going to move you,” Cudi said. “Y’all are going to fuck with this shit in such a major way and I’m so fucking excited.
“I just wanted to get on here and just let y’all know that I’m not gonna let y’all down. This is gonna be the album of the year right now, I’m not playing. This is not a fucking joke. Tell everybody you fucking know, ok?”

Kid Cudi has been teasing his new music for a few months now. He previously said that the project, which follows last year’s Entergalactic and 2020’s Man on the Moon III: The Chosen, would likely be his last, given the fact that he has just one more album left on his current deal with Republic Records.
“Im doin 1 more album and then im done w my deal and not sure what ima do after that but yea, 1 more,” the Cleveland native wrote on Twitter last November. “Wont be next year. Keep u posted.”

Cudi previously hinted at retiring during an interview Apple Music’s Zane Lowe last September, saying he’s contemplating “closing the chapter on Kid Cudi.”

As for Travis, he’s continuing to slowly rollout his highly-anticipated album Utopia, and while details remain scarce, Epic Records CEO Sylvia Rhone previously added to the excitement by revealing in an interview with Billboard that the long-awaited album will finally be out this summer.
“We have a new Travis Scott record, expected to come in June,” she said.
